Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join the Oncology Unit. You will provide routine patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and support the care team in diagnosing and treating cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification; CNA in state of practice required.
• 1 year medical clerical or patient-care experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the care plan.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure proper documentation.
• Collect vitals, support with specimens, and communicate changes to licensed staff.
• Perform delegated procedures and support unit operations and patient transport.
