Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Oncology Unit in Gilbert, AZ, working three 12-hour night shifts with a focus on chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care. You will assist with daily patient care, specimen collection, and coordination with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a CNA in practice with BLS and strong organizational skills; experience with EMR and medical terminology is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA (state of practice) certification.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and mobility.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and other data per policy; assist in transporting specimens.
• Report changes in patient condition to licensed staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform delegated procedures and use equipment under supervision in accordance with practice scope.
• Support unit operations with receptionist/clerical tasks and effective communication.
