Job summary

Banner Health is hiring a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the 4th Floor General Medical Surgical Oncology Unit in Sun City, AZ. This role supports patient care on the night shift, assists in multiple units, and contributes to efficient operations.

Responsibilities include data collection, charting, and patient support with emphasis on teamwork and quality care. The unit offers shift differentials and a dynamic environment within Banner Health’s renowned network.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in activities of daily living to promote patient health and mobility.
• Collects vital signs and patient data; documents in medical records and supports specimen transport when needed.
• Recognizes and reports abnormalities to licensed staff; communicates patient status for continuity of care.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional under supervision.
• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations and communication flow.
• Maintains patient records, labels chart forms, and assists in ordering specimens and supplies.
