Banner Health in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Oncology Unit NS. The role provides routine patient care on a 24-bed oncology unit with a 12/1 ratio, including chemotherapy and supportive care, in a Magnet-recognized facility.

This full-time NIGHT shift (6:30pm–7am) offers shift differential and weekend differential when applicable. As a CNA in this unit you will collect vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and document in the electronic medical

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Current BLS certification required; CNA in state of practice.
Strong organizational and communication skills with medical terminology knowledge.
Experience with medical clerical tasks and computer literacy recommended.

Responsibilities

Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient plan of care.
Collect vital signs, input/output, and other delegated measurements; document in medical records.
Assist in transporting patient specimens and communicate patient status to care team.
Perform procedures under supervision, assist with tasks like EKGs and basic clinical procedures.
Support unit operations with receptionist/clerical duties and maintain patient records.
Maintain supplies and assist with order processing and charting in the electronic medical record.
