The US Oncology Network in Austin, TX is seeking a New Patient Coordinator to support the Medical Oncology Department. The role handles patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and records with strict HIPAA compliance. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate data entry for new patients.

On-site Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm in Texas Oncology clinic; requires Texas residency and a patient-centric approach.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years revenue cycle or patient access experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of PMS and EHR platforms preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
• Medical terminology knowledge and insurance verification experience.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the new patient referral and intake process within department standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and internal/external stakeholders.
• Assess patient needs to prioritize referrals and triage appropriately.
• Answer calls, take messages, and respond to routine inquiries.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility; register patient accounts.
• Maintain patient records in the practice management system and HIPAA compliance.
