You will validate documentation support and medical necessity, apply modifiers and edits, and address denials with the billing team.

Competenze

• Associate degree in HIM or coding or equivalent training.
• AAPC CPC or AHIMA credential preferred/required depending on setting.
• 2+ years coding experience with independence across complexity, edits, and denials.

• Codes complex and high-risk clinic charges independently with documentation support and medical necessity.
• Educates providers to improve documentation and reduce queries and rework.
• Monitor payer policy changes and align workflows accordingly.
• Resolve discrepancies and denials end-to-end with QA and AR teams.
• Support audits and compliance by documenting rationale and risk trends.
• Maintain specialty maintenance like NCCN alignment and claim accuracy.
• Lead cross-functional workflow improvements and generate actionable reports.
