Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CPC, CCS-P or other professional coding certification.
• Minimum of 4 years coding experience in a physician practice or hospital environment.
• 2 years’ chart audits or CPT/ICD-10 coding documentation review experience.
• Knowledge of Medical Oncology/Radiation/Surgery coding and leveling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily charge review of visits, diagnoses, radiation oncology or surgeries for accurate coding.
• Input charges into the EMR or practice management system.
• Audit physician, nurse practitioner and clinical staff documentation for correct CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding.
• Assist with data analysis, reporting of audit results, and coding compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to resolve coding issues and improve processes.
