Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Observer/Nursing Aide for the 8S Progressive Oncology unit at Royal Oak Hospital. The role supports patient care per the plan of care, assists with transport, and serves as an observer to maximize patient safety while documenting in the EMR.

You will follow a day shift, Monday-Friday style schedule with some variability, and must have a high school diploma; BLS is required within 30 days of hire; CNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher and documentation of services.
• Provide the services of an Observer for patients requiring constant observation.
• Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Healthcare experience preferred

CPR/BLS certification

CNA certification preferred
