Job summary

Corewell Health in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a part-time nurse observer (CNA) to support the Med Surg Care Unit 7NW. You will provide patient care under RN supervision, transport patients as needed, and document care in the electronic medical record.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS certification, and preferred CNA certification. Shift is days, 24 hours per week, with benefits and a sign-on bonus of up to $1500.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services.
• Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.
• Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring.
