Job summary

Corewell Health’s 5 Northeast unit in Royal Oak is seeking an Observer to provide patient care under RN direction, including safe transport and documentation. This role supports continuous observation for at-risk patients, ensuring safety on a busy medical-surgical unit.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, hospital experience preferred, and must hold BLS certification. A comprehensive benefits package and scheduling flexibility are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience is preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients according to the plan of care and unit policy.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation and assist with documentation in the EMR.
