Job summary

Corewell Health’s Staffing Office Float Pool at Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a part-time Observer/Support role to assist with patient care and unit operations. The position involves day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with 24 hours weekly, Monday through Friday and every third weekend.

Responsibilities include safe patient transport, observation, reception duties, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, under RN direction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit operations.
• Document care in the electronic medical record.
