Texas Oncology in Webster, TX is seeking a Certified IV Admixture Technician to support our clinic admixture room. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday 8:30a–5p with no on-call, weekends, or major holidays.

The position may be level I, II or Senior based on experience, with IV certification and oncology background valued. Responsibilities include compounding, verification, inventory, logging, and quality control under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Entry level to three (3) years experience in a pharmacy.
• IV Certification strongly preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended.
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience in a pharmacy with I.V. skills.
• Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a pharmacy with I.V. skills.
• Oncology background preferred or extensive I.V. preparation experience.
• Completion of an ASCP accredited program or community college-based program recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Check all orders for completeness of information.
• Verify patient information and proper physician authorization.
• Check all orders for insurance approval before admixing.
• Admix drugs under supervision following guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain proper drug records and inventory control.
• Keep logs of drugs and protocols and ensure quality documentation.
