Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture) to support the Round Rock location. This full-time role offers Monday through Friday shifts with alternating times (8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00) and no weekends or major holidays.

Roles vary by experience level (Level 1, 2, or Sr) to match candidate background in a fast-paced oncology clinic environment. Responsibilities include compounding, verifying orders, maintaining logs, and supporting the medication-use continuum while ensuring

Qualifications

• IV sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but may be required by state law.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; entry-level pharmacy experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing under supervision.
• Check all orders for completeness and verify patient information and physician authorization.
• Admix drugs as ordered by a physician, adhering to department and regulatory guidelines.
• Calculate correct dosage volumes and convert between metric and apothecary units.
• Assist in controlled substance record keeping in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
• Dispose of materials used in mixing chemotherapy or IVs per guidelines and law.
• Maintain temperature logs and inventory records; ensure proper documentation of lot numbers and expiration dating.
• Provide support across the medication use continuum including labeling, data entry, and pre-billing review.
