Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist for a field-based role covering the Charleston, SC / Savannah, GA territory. The role requires travel ~25% and proximity to the district.

You will work with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and cross-functional partners to meet patient-centered objectives and exceed sales goals. The position emphasizes building relationships, understanding practice dynamics, and educating stakeholders on Merck Oncology products in indicated uses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of sales experience or a high school diploma with 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• Oncology field-based experience preferred, including selling to oncology customers.
• 2+ years of oncology field-based selling experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and understand practice structure and needs.
• Educate stakeholders on oncology products and communicate with the oncology community.
• Analyze market trends and patterns in multiple drug distribution channels.
• Collaborate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader to plan and execute initiatives.
• Ask insightful questions to align product portfolio with customer priorities.
• Ensure consistent customer experience across divisions and share learnings with the team.
