Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year+ of experience within a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and staff courteously in person or by phone.
• Direct calls and transfer to appropriate staff.
• Schedule patient appointments according to department protocols.
• Verify insurance and collect copays at point of service.
