Job summary

Genesis Cancer and Blood Institute is hiring a patient advocate focused on financial navigation within an oncology practice. You will review insurance coverage, estimate patient financial responsibility, and coordinate prior authorizations and benefit verification to ensure access to cancer treatment.

You will support patients in understanding benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and available financial assistance while collaborating with clinical teams to remove barriers to care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years in healthcare, preferably in healthcare financial counseling, patient access, or medical billing.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and pre-certifications.
• Coordinate prior authorizations and benefit verification.
• Provide patient financial counseling and assist with applications for financial aid.
