American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a patient financial counselor to act as the primary advocate for patients, reviewing insurance coverage and estimating financial responsibility for cancer treatment.

You will coordinate prior authorizations and benefit verification, explain benefits and out-of-pocket costs, and connect patients with financial assistance programs, working with clinical teams and payers to remove barriers to care.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of two years in healthcare, preferably in financial counseling, patient access, or medical billing.
• Experience verifying pre-certification and/or prior authorization with medical insurance.
• Experience with patient assistance programs and financial aid resources preferred.
• Prior cash handling and monetary collection experience.
• Ability to calculate and collect patients’ responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance.
• Knowledge of medical terminology (ICD9/ICD10/CPT).
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse populations.
