Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in healthcare business office or revenue cycle.
• Strong knowledge of insurance, benefits, and patient financial assistance programs.
• Understanding of oncology treatment pathways.
• Familiarity with high-cost oncology drugs and specialty billing.
• Experience with billing systems and interpreting EOBs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems including EMR and PMS with minimal supervision.
• Experience in oncology or specialty care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily schedules to identify patients needing financial clearance.
• Educate patients on deductible, copay, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket costs.
• Provide clear communication on treatment costs and payment expectations before services.
• Assist patients in understanding their financial obligations.
• Evaluate potential financial risks and identify high-risk accounts for escalation.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to reduce claim denials.
• Maintain accurate documentation of financial discussions and HIPAA compliance.
• Support timely revenue cycle processes through effective interdepartmental communication.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and adapt to fast-paced workflow.
