Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Coordinator, Financial Counseling to support patients and providers with financial clearance and education before services. The role focuses on identifying financial risk and improving revenue cycle outcomes with clear communication.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, educate patients on deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums, and maintain compliant documentation while safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred
• Experience with oncology or specialty care preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding
• Ability to protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA

Responsibilities

• Provide financial clearance and patient education prior to services
• Identify financial risks and potential denials before services
• Collaborate with clinical teams to reduce claim denials
• Document financial discussions clearly and confidentially
