Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to grow the Phoenix North, Arizona territory. This field-based role requires travel to visit customers in person and attend national meetings.

You will educate stakeholders on Merck Oncology products and work to meet or exceed sales goals within your territory. The role emphasizes building trust, understanding practice structures, and leveraging resources to deliver patient-centered solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience.
• High school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in healthcare/scientific field with oncology experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
• Travel 10-15% overnight as required.
• Residence near district.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand practice structure and needs.
• Communicate patient-centered rationale for oncology products.
• Understand cancer staging, treatment options, and guidelines.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment across channels.
• Develop short- and long-term plans with the Oncology Customer Team Leader.
