Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to drive growth within a field-based territory. You will engage with customers, educate stakeholders about our oncology portfolio, and collaborate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader to achieve sales goals while traveling to meet customers and attend national meetings.

The role requires strong customer focus, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to translate clinical data into compelling value propositions for patients

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed the assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Meet with key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business model, and influencers.
• Communicate a patient-centered rationale for oncology products in indicated uses.
• Understand cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment across multiple drug channels.
• Review patterns for products purchased and prescribed (outpatient vs inpatient).
• Develop and execute short- and long-term plans in collaboration with the Oncology Customer Team Leader.
