Job summary

Foundation Medicine is seeking an Account Executive II to drive sales across our product portfolio within a field-based role. You will cultivate relationships with oncologists and cancer care teams, develop business and account plans, and work with hospitals, pathology labs, and academic medical centers to grow FMI’s presence.

The role requires extensive travel, strong stakeholder engagement, and a data-driven approach to identify opportunities and optimize solutions for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ years selling diagnostics or life sciences in hospital/physician lab markets.
• Willingness to travel within defined territory and up to 90% of time.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas/objectives for FMI’s product portfolio.
• Create and execute business and account plans to meet volume objectives and growth.
• Navigate accounts to identify key stakeholders for effective selling engagement.
• Engage with key account stakeholders including c-suite and other decision makers.
• Pull through National Account initiatives and customer segment strategies.
• Develop clear, concise communications and customize messages for audiences.
• Educate customers on reimbursement and billing services at local level.
• Travel within assigned territory up to 90% of the time.
