Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Issaquah, WA, seeks a Registered Nurse – Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join an interdisciplinary care team. This full-time role focuses on patient-centered nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice.

The CNC will handle direct patient care, triage, coordination with allied services, and research collaboration, supported by a comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance where eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current WA State RN multistate license (MSL) or equivalent; ability to upgrade to WA MSL within 60 days
• Current BLS (AHA) or equivalent renewal every two years
• Oncology experience preferred or will be provided with training
• OCN or BMT RN certification preferred (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and evaluate patients' adaptation to health changes
• Develop a plan of care based on disease, symptoms, and response to treatment
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease processes, treatment, side effects and symptom management
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Refer patients and families to appropriate clinical resources
• Implement, evaluate and modify plan of care
• Integrate research and evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice
