Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, based in Seattle, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team at the Issaquah Clinic. This role emphasizes patient-centric care, nursing assessment, planning and coordination with clinicians and research staff.

Training is provided for oncology-specific needs. The position offers full-time hours, with four 10-hour shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a Washington State Registered Nurse Multistate License (MSL) or be eligible to obtain MSL with WA as Primary State of Residence within 60 days of hire.
• Oncology experience is preferred but training is provided.
• Current BLS certification required every two years.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centric nursing assessment and diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Develop care plans based on disease, symptoms and response to treatment.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on disease processes and treatments.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Document nursing care accurately and maintain patient privacy.
