Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse - Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Evergreen Clinic in Kirkland, WA. This role focuses on patient-centered care, nursing assessment, plan development, and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team.

The CNC will lead direct and indirect patient care, collaborate with research staff, and participate in education, triage, and care coordination. Regular full-time schedule with four 10-hour shifts is included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license or valid NLC Multistate license.
• MSL residency updated to WA within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification required every two years.
• Oncology or bone marrow transplant experience preferred; training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment, and side effects.
• Perform direct patient care including chemotherapy, central lines, injections, and blood draws.
• Coordinate outside care and referrals; ensure continuity with other providers.
• Document nursing activities accurately and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
