Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Issaquah, WA seeks a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team. This 1.0 FTE position covers Tuesday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts from 7:30am to 6pm, at the Issaquah Clinic.

The RN will perform nursing assessment and care planning, with opportunities to engage in research and evidence-based practice. Required are a WA RN license (MSL) or eligibility to obtain WA licensure within 60 days, BLS certification, and strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license (MSL) or eligible to update to WA license within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification required every two years.
• Oncology experience preferred; will provide training as needed.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and adjust plans of care based on disease, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease processes and treatments.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate referrals to social work, home health, nutrition, and other resources.
• Deliver direct patient care, including chemotherapy education and medication administration.
• Maintain documentation and ensure privacy and compliance with regulations.
