Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary team for patient-centric care. You will perform nursing assessments, care planning, and evaluation as part of a 1.0 FTE, 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities include education of patients and families, triage, care coordination, and integration of research evidence into clinical practice. Oncology experience is preferred; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold current Washington State RN license or a valid multistate license with WA residency update within 60 days of hire.
• BLS provider card required and renewed every two years.
• Oncology nursing experience preferred; training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, side effects, and symptom management.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direct patient care including education on chemotherapy and IV therapies.
• Coordinate referrals to social work, home health, nutrition, and other resources.
• Document nursing activities accurately and maintain patient privacy.
