Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Thoracic Head Neck and Specialty Clinic. The CNC provides care management for an entire patient panel and serves as the primary contact for complex outpatients.

The position is 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, with an hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current WA RN license or valid multi-state license with WA as home state.
• BLS Provider certification required.
• Oncology nursing experience preferred; training provided if not.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and external providers.
• Educate patients and families on treatment, side effects and self-care.
• Triage symptoms via telephone and email; manage clinic flow.
• Support research and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation in a timely manner.
