Job summary

Seattle Children’s is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to plan and coordinate patient scheduling across the Cancer and Blood disorders center. You will manage clinic appointments, diagnostics, and procedures, while aligning with interpreters and care teams to ensure positive family experiences.

Responsibilities include insurance authorization, guardianship steps, OR block management, and just-in-time family support. Experience in pediatric healthcare and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Medical terminology.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Family Service Coordinator or equivalent scheduling/reception experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate clinic appointment scheduling (new, return, pre-op, post-op, PASS).
• Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures under anesthesia.
• Coordinate across services and with interpreters.
• Handle insurance authorization and guardianship steps for approvals.
• Fulfill OR block requirements to maximize utilization.
• Provide just-in-time support to families per organizational standards.
