Job summary

Seattle Children’s is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to plan and coordinate services across the surgical journey, including scheduling new patients, pre-op follow ups, PASS and post-op appointments, tests, recalls, admissions, and interpreters. You will work closely with the OR to maximize room utilization and streamline the insurance approval process while managing patient records.

• High school diploma or equivalent required and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare scheduling experience as a Family Service Coordinator or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree or two years of college coursework in health care or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate services for families throughout the surgical experience, including scheduling new patients, pre-op follow up, PASS, and post-op appointments and tests.
• Coordinate with OR to maximize room utilization and manage insurance approvals and patient records.
• Collaborate closely with family and clinic staff to ensure a smooth patient journey from intake through discharge.
