Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is expanding its Talent Acquisition team and seeks a Recruiting Coordinator II to manage end-to-end onboarding and pre-employment screening. You will partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure Day 1 readiness and a smooth candidate experience.

You will maintain accurate onboarding records, drive process improvements, and support the TA team with expert guidance on procedures and timelines.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years’ experience in a related field or combination as described.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, HR Assistant, or similar role.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and resume databases.
• Experience in a Corporate Human Resources department; capability to guide colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for newly offered candidates.
• Initiate and manage pre-employment screening requirements (background checks, drug testing, DOT compliance).
• Maintain onboarding milestones and documentation in HR systems.
• Engage candidates through phone, email and text to maintain momentum and a positive experience.
• Coordinate logistics for onboarding including travel, training, equipment, access, and uniforms.
• Monitor progress and escalate delays to ensure start dates.
• Provide guidance to the Cox Fleet TA team and partners on questions.
