Job summary

AllianceHCM in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking an Onboarding Project Manager to lead client implementations from contract execution through go-live and transition to ongoing support.

You will manage a portfolio of moderate-complexity SaaS/payroll/HCM projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain project plans and milestones, and ensure on-time payroll readiness. The role also includes mentoring junior PMs and contributing to onboarding best practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of PM/implementation experience in SaaS/payroll/HCM.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and client communication skills.
• Experience coordinating timelines, dependencies, scope changes and priorities.
• Ability to lead client meetings, identify risks, and drive accountability across teams.
• Experience mentoring team members or contributing to process improvements.
• CAPM or equivalent certification, or willingness to obtain one within 18 months.
• Willingness to complete AllianceHCM's onboarding, product, and client communication certifications within 6–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of single-entity, single- and multi-service implementation projects.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout onboarding lifecycle, leading kickoff meetings and status updates.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and documentation.
• Coordinate Implementations, Training, Payroll, Tax, Sales, and Support teams to keep projects on track.
• Monitor progress, manage scope changes, identify risks, and resolve escalations with recovery plans.
• Ensure client and internal team accountability for deliverables and go-live readiness.
• Coordinate the transition to Customer Support with complete documentation and a smooth handoff.
• Mentor less experienced project managers and contribute to process improvements and onboarding best practices.
