Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Management Assistant to support store operations across hiring, onboarding, and orientation for applicants and new associates. You will handle administrative tasks, assist with sales and auction paperwork, manage cash deposits, and provide frontline customer service in a fast-paced, team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for record-keeping.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and intermediate PC skills.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and associates in person, by phone, and in writing.

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hiring and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing documentation, and managing applicant records in Workday.
• Facilitate new associate orientation, ensuring timely completion of required documentation and training, and maintaining accurate personnel files.
• Provide customer service support by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with paperwork.
• Process sales and auction paperwork, including DMV documentation and dealer registration.
• Handle cash management tasks, including deposits, safe handling, and multiple payment types.
• Support Business Office operations and mentor new associates as needed.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
