Job summary

Hornblower Group in New York seeks a personable Server to join our vessel hospitality team. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure a safe, enjoyable onboard experience for every guest.

Requirements include a high school diploma, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays. You will be expected to maintain cleanliness, assist with seating, and uphold RESPECT standards aboard a Coast Guard‑inspected

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.
  • Ability to maintain organization and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and working collaboratively with crew and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and serve food and beverages in a timely fashion.
  • Accurately take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
  • Provide information to guests including menu descriptions, order of service, cruise route and points of interest.
  • Assist with seating and guest welcoming to ensure smooth operations.
  • Be prepared to begin work at the scheduled time and maintain appearance standards.
