Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a capable Server to deliver onboard dining experiences with hospitality and safety at the forefront. You will engage guests, learn the vessel layout, and provide knowledgeable service as part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, serving beverages, handling payments, and maintaining orderly service areas aboard a Coast Guard-inspected vessel. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of high-volume restaurant experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift furniture and other heavy items such as dishes.
• Must be available for work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in our service systems, RESPECT.
• Greet guests and serve food and beverages in a timely fashion.
• Accurately take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
• Assist with seating and guest information and ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Take payments for onboard purchases and provide accurate change.
• Communicate menu descriptions and cruise information to guests.
