Job summary

The WestRock Company is seeking a Technical Trainer to assist with training processes locally. The role reports into the site General Manager/ Plant Manager and dotted lines into Operations Learning & Development, to ensure training is completed for Operator/ Craft Job Certification.

The trainer will be a key contact for team members, conduct assessments of machine skills, provide feedback, and support certification processes and the development of learning materials and SOPs on the floor.

Responsibilities

• On-the-floor daily technical training to certify team members.
• Partner with OPS L&D to support new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Track and measure local training using standard tools.
• Develop and maintain technical learning aids and SOPs.
• Assess candidates’ machine skills during hiring/interviews.
• Conduct training across all shifts and promote safety.
• Support certification processes and tools with Ops L&D.
• Additional duties as assigned.
