Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions in Wichita, KS seeks a Workstation Support Technician for a 12-month W2 contract. On-site role with core hours Mon-Fri 7am-4pm, with some OT and occasional after-hours. Travel in company vehicle if required.

You will diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, assist in configuring new workstations, and provide end-user support across in-person, remote, email, and phone channels. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in workstation or helpdesk support.
• Experience diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues in Windows environments.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Familiarity with AD, DNS, and VPN configurations.
• Customer-focused with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software on company devices.
• Provide timely technical support via in-person, remote, email, and phone.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, from basic to complex.
• Assist in setup of new workstations, including user accounts and email.
• Respond to and prioritize support requests by urgency and impact on operations.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and printer issues.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory records.
• Educate end-users on basic troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and guides for common procedures.
• Maintain records of user-reported issues and resolutions in a ticket system.
• Stay current with industry trends in workstation technology.
• Other duties may include knowledge of AV systems and ruggedized equipment as needed.
