Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a capable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site end-user IT support in Wichita, KS. You will triage tickets, resolve Windows desktop and peripheral issues, and coordinate with the Service Delivery Team to keep users productive.

This on-site, field-based role starts immediately, with independent contractor or W2 arrangements. You will receive site details, SPOC, and reporting times before each assignment, and must follow client IT policies and security

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in onsite support environments.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
