Job summary

Axiom Technologies is looking for a capable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support for the client in Burlington, MA. You will assist end-users with desktop systems, laptops, network connectivity, and peripherals at the client site.

As an independent contractor (1099) starting immediately, you will respond to service requests, troubleshoot Windows desktops, configure hardware, and ensure security policies are followed while delivering timely, professional support.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
