GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to maintain turbine operations, safety, and warranty repairs across multiple wind sites within Hub WY1. This field role requires local travel and on-site presence at all sites within the hub, reporting to the Site Lead and Manager.

You will work with site leadership to meet contractual obligations, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and document activities using GE's service reporting tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, and 1+ year experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or 2 years of electrical work experience, and Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment, and Basic computer skills
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license; handle repetitive weight up to 50 lbs and climb towers up to 300 feet daily
• Meet specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300lbs including required gear
• Ability and willingness to work in environments including industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, power facilities
• Flexibility to rotate shift schedules and be on-call per site needs; occasional overnights

Responsabilités

• Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and activities set forth with on a daily basis, including wind turbine components
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines
• Help in all areas of site operations with minimal supervision; observe safety requirements
• Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures and coordinate with GE's remote operations center
