Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to maintain and repair wind turbine equipment across hub sites in Texas. The role requires travel within the hub, local site collaboration with Site Lead and Manager, and adherence to GE standards.

Responsibilities include electrical/mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, safety compliance, and reporting work through GE systems. Eligible candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and relevant wind energy credentials or electrical experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic experience, or Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to meet customer requirements and daily activities on turbine equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.
• Assist in site operations under supervision, while following safety requirements.
• Conduct diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
