Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Wind Technician to travel locally within the Texas hub to maintain wind turbine operations. The role involves daily hands-on maintenance, safety adherence, and warranty repair work in coordination with Site Lead and Manager.

The position requires 1+ year wind tech experience or related training, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Travel to multiple site locations within the hub is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, and
• 1+ year experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines
• Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision
• Perform some diagnostic electrical analysis
• Document all work performed using computer based service reporting procedures
• Work with and respond to GE’s remote operations center when necessary.
