Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Wind Technician to support turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repair at the Texas hub. The role requires local travel and collaboration with Site Lead and Manager to meet contract timelines and GE standards.

The position involves troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems, with daily field work and documentation of service activities. Eligible candidates may relocate with provided support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience as Wind Technician/Mechanic or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy or 2 years electrical work experience.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with site and hub leadership to meet customer requirements and daily activities on the GE wind turbine generator.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and speed turbines.
• Support site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision while following safety requirements.
• Perform some diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center as needed.
