Forward Air Corp. is seeking an Operations Team Lead to coordinate day-to-day activities for a shift of frontline staff in a logistics warehouse or multimodal terminal. The role emphasizes task prioritization, labor allocation, safety, and SOP adherence to meet targets and KPIs.

Base pay is $21 per hour, with a Monday–Friday 7:30am–4pm schedule. You will train and guide team members, monitor quality, and use WMS/TMS systems to support daily operations on-site.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and guide frontline employees.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing operational demands.

Aufgaben

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE per site SOPs.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight using handheld devices and company systems.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues to supervision.
• Coordinate daily work activities and labor assignments.
• Assist in executing daily volume, labor, and workload plans.
• Prioritize tasks to support inbound, outbound, and inventory activities.
• Expedite order fulfillment and movements per procedures and service expectations.
• Utilize TMS, WMS, or terminal systems to support tasks.
• Conduct basic system inquiries to resolve discrepancies.
