Job summary

Vallen Distribution is seeking a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I to deliver and manage inventory at customers' sites. You will perform storage, distribution and order fulfillment tasks for merchandise, products, materials and equipment.

Core duties include driving vehicles, ensuring shipment accuracy, setting up VMI space, and coordinating from pickup to delivery at customer sites. This role requires reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year experience or training in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Valid driver's license that complies with company standards.
• Willingness to learn and work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
• Must be a self-starter with the willingness to work with supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Drive company commercial vehicles to transport and deliver goods to designated locations in a safe manner and in compliance with all State and Federal DOT standards and regulations.
• Ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer.
• Assist with the VMI customer space/placement and stock product in the customer's designated area.
• Follow the customer order through from pick-up at the warehouse/DC to delivery and setup at customer site.
• Take customer spot buy orders when needed and relay information to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes at customer site to generate customer orders.
• Perform VMI functions at vending point of use areas including communication with supervisor and sales team.
