Job summary

Join our exciting & dedicated team at Vallen USA as a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I. You will deliver and manage inventory at customers' designated sites, performing storage, distribution and order fulfillment tasks.

Responsibilities include driving company vehicles, ensuring shipment accuracy, setting up VMI spaces, coordinating with sales and CSR, and supporting inventory counts. A high school diploma and at least 1 year in warehousing or delivery are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience or training in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Willingness to learn and work on semi-routine assignments.
• Must be a self-starter with the willingness to work with supervision.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner.
• Proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution.
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with customers, co-workers and management.
• Willing to gain knowledge of company products.
• Ability to represent Vallen in a professional manner projecting a Winning Team approach to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive company commercial vehicles to transport and deliver goods to designated locations in a safe manner and in compliance with all State and Federal DOT standards and regulations.
• Ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer.
• Assist with the VMI customer space/placement and stock product in the customer's designated area.
• Follow customer orders from pick-up to delivery and setup at the site.
• Handle customer spot buy orders and relay to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes at customer site to generate orders.
• Perform VMI functions at vending POUs including loading and receiving.
• Maintain awareness of min/max, reorder point/quantity and report observations to management.
• Recommend changes to inventory levels based on usage.
• Ensure bar code labels are up to date and legible.
