Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Verification Assurance Officer to join a central team. The role focuses on frontline fraud prevention, interviewing claimants and working with Jobcentre colleagues to strengthen verification processes.

You will conduct robust interviews to verify documents for Identity, housing and childcare cost elements of Universal Credit. Travel between sites may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and follow-up evidence interviews with claimants and verify documents related to Identification, housing costs, children and childcare costs elements of Universal Credit.
• Collaborate with Jobcentre and Service Centre colleagues to conduct interviews and verification activities within the sites.
• Provide regular feedback on fraud trends and contribute to the work of specialist risk and intelligence teams within DWP.
