Job summary

Via in Montgomery is seeking a General Manager to lead a first-of-its-kind intermodal transit service, blending entrepreneurship with operations and people leadership.

You will manage on-site daily operations, mentor dispatchers and shift managers, build relationships with drivers, customers and local partners, and drive KPIs, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Experience 8–10 years preferred; hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• Experienced operations manager with 8–10 years in leadership roles.
• Independent self-starter capable of high responsibility.
• Excellent communicator with tactful, effective tone.
• Proven leadership of support teams and drivers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and optimize resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site daily operations of Via’s Montgomery service.
• Prioritize issues as real-time contact for drivers and dispatchers.
• Mentor on-site dispatchers and shift managers.
• Develop relationships with drivers, customers, community leaders, and partners.
• Develop metrics and report weekly on KPIs and priorities.
• Prepare reports to improve processes, allocate resources, and maximize customer satisfaction.
