Job summary

Via is seeking a General Manager to lead the on-site, first-of-its-kind intermodal transit service in Columbus, OH. You will build the operating playbook, manage real-time dispatch, mentor local staff, and serve as the face of the operation with drivers, customers, and community partners.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll drive KPIs, optimize scheduling, ensure compliance, and foster a high-performance, customer‑centric team in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in operations management or equivalent role.
• Independent self-starter comfortable with high responsibility.
• Savvy, tactful communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead dispatch/ops teams.
• Transit or mobility sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the on-site daily operations of Via’s service in the Greater Columbus area.
• Prioritize operational issues and provide scheduling solutions for round-the-clock teams.
• Mentor the on-site team of dispatchers and shift managers.
• Be the face of the operation with drivers, customers, and community partners.
• Coordinate with Via senior management and external partners.
• Develop KPIs and report results weekly to leadership.
• Analyze data to improve processes, allocate resources, and maximize satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-energy, collaborative driver team.
