Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Tier 2 Network Engineer to support LAN/WAN networks, security planning, and open systems integration at a government-facing site in McLean, VA. The role requires a TSSCI clearance with polygraph and a 6pm–6am night shift schedule, four days a week, with weekends/holidays included.

Candidates should have 10 years of relevant experience and CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or Juniper certifications.

Qualifications

• Ten years of applicable experience required.
• Strong understanding of the OSI model and routing protocol configuration (EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDP).
• Shift schedule includes weekends/holidays; night shift 6pm–6am, four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 support for LAN/WAN, client networks, Intranet and Internet.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Review upgrade requests and advise on practical technical approaches to meet user requirements.
• Apply software/hardware skills in analysis, development, integration, and acquisition of open systems for IM applications.
• Ensure systems adhere to open systems standards and reference models.
• Evaluate and recommend COTS solutions for interoperable IT solutions.
• Analyze and validate reusable software/hardware components for IM designs.
